Six selected works of Doppo have been revised. The cover was drawn by Japanese heterochromatic manga artist Asumiko Nakamura. The entire text was re-edited. Japanese Rampo researcher Morooka Takuma was invited to write a new introduction to re-introduce the father of Japanese reasoning in a way that is more relevant to young readers. . Three short story selections and a full-length novel were selected based on their classicity, groundbreaking subject matter, and representativeness of random characteristics. Selected short stories include "The Dark Beast", "The Human Chair", and "Two Cents of Copper Coin", and the novels include "The Ghost on the Island", "The D-Saka Murder Incident" (a series of short stories by Akechi Kogoro, one of Japan's three most famous detectives), and "Pano". "The Strange Tales of Lama Island" was published successively in 2017.
