Foucault's Three Discourses: A Study of Foucault's Late Thought

The courage to "speak the truth" is a key characteristic of parrhesia,
because what the speaker says often endangers themselves.

From my arrival in the US in early 1999 to my return to Taiwan in mid-year, for over half a year in Albany I experienced the coldest winter of my life (nearly -15 degrees Celsius) and the hottest summer (nearly 40 degrees Celsius). This extreme weather experience, along with my exposure to Foucault's later thought, were both new "limit experiences" in my life.
