try till we find a way
The beginning of Trial and Error Lab came from a question: "If there was a place for young people to try some projects, what new possibilities would emerge?"
From past interviews, the team has witnessed that many young people are unable to show their talents due to land issues, so they try to plan a shared workspace that allows for trial and error. With no relevant experience, they decided to start from scratch. They visited pioneers, asked key figures, applied for funding, and then conducted experiments for 150 days to carry out the plan step by step.
That's it, Trial and Error Lab was officially established. The so-called "Trial and Error" does not mean blindly trying, but through trying, reviewing problems, correcting mistakes, and accumulating experience, which will serve as nutrients for the next attempt.
From the 150th day of the experiment, Lab Fellows came in one by one; winter turned to spring, and more than 2,000 days passed in the blink of an eye. Some units moved out after settling in and had their own studios; some put aside their original plans and started another life direction; some are still in the initial stage, looking for development possibilities... Here, the way out is not a single path, but there are Various possibilities.
This period of time is not only a trial and error process for Lab Fellows, but also a learning process for the Lab. This is a record of a group of people trying, making mistakes, and trying again. It’s not romantic, but it’s very real.
"In a city with such fierce competition, success is king, and mistakes are the crime of the weak. However, the fear of failure is often the reason for the exhaustion of creativity. No one knows everything when they are born, and they are always stumbling and thinking. The hope of exploring the world. When the changes in the world have exceeded our imagination and everyone is looking for a way out for the next stage, not being afraid of falling and failing and moving forward bravely is the basis for whether we still have a tomorrow." - Liang Pak-kin (Liang Pak-kin) Deputy Director General of Breakthrough Agency)
