Li Lifeng is a professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, a fellow of the International Communication Association, the founding and current co-chairman of the Society for Hong Kong Studies, and the editor-in-chief of the Chinese Journal of Communication. Major academic works include Memories of Tiananmen: Politics and Processes of Collective Remembering in Hong Kong, 1989-2019 (Amsterdam: Amsterdam University Press) and Media and Protest Logics in the Digital Era (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2018). In addition to academic writings, he also writes media and current affairs commentary for newspapers.
