Pebble

　　The story tells of Pebble, who always struggled to keep up with the group at school—being late, wearing the wrong uniform, getting dirty. During lunchtime, while everyone was still praying, she was already devouring her food because her mom forgot to cook dinner the day before...
 
　　Pebble represents rigidity, contraction, silence, and coldness—reactions everyone has when faced with misfortune, not knowing how to face the world, only able to wait powerlessly in a corner.
 
　　If this misfortune happens to a child, they are likely to become such a "pebble," with a hardened heart being the only armor they can use to protect themselves.
　　However, with love, a "pebble" can be transformed back into a soft, marshmallow-like child in one's arms.
 
　　Through the warm perspective of an educator, this book allows children who may have hardened into "pebbles" to realize that there is still a possibility of love and care around them, softening their hearts and helping them open up again.
