Unveiling the Hidden World of Babies
Before cognition, there is desire
The lifelong struggle between infant, mother, and the world

Babies have no memories; they are the embryonic form of "I." Before the age of three, their thoughts and consciousness remain a mystery. Inability to recall or express does not equate to ignorance. Infants possess primal desires, their own perceptions and impulses. In their minds exists a hidden world, a realm where death, self, and God have yet to enter. Once consciousness forms, this hidden world becomes forever deeply embedded.
"I Am Baby" analyzes the infant Risan, from birth to three years old, delving into his thoughts and a growth experience rarely understood in depth: how drastic changes in the external environment, the intentions of familiar and unfamiliar people, and the struggles between father and mother, and mother and her parents, shape the world before his eyes and mold him into who he is.
Each of us is born clumsily and dies with regrets. We cannot trace what made us who we are today, only continuously reconstruct the scenes of our growth, gradually approaching the unresolved mysteries.
