Messy

As the author organized a jumble of "miscellaneous" writings from her university days, she discovered that these words, written without intention, direction, or an audience, and almost like a raw self-confession, seemed to contain certain themes and threads. Based on the stream of consciousness and chronology within the writings themselves, along with some related old photos and objects, the author compiled them into three chapters:

I.  Regarding the relationship between writing, oneself, and the world, as well as the struggles and entanglements of creation and reality – a process that is still ongoing.
II.  Regarding the language of the body, writing about the female body through associations and imagery, and its inexpressible desires and emotions.
III.  Regarding observations and feelings about living in the city of Hong Kong, particularly the awareness and questioning of time, movement, and routine.

These writings may belong to specific times and spaces, as if at certain moments there was an energy/force that seemed to engulf and encompass people, but at the same time interacted or connected with the world outside the body; at these moments, writing was something she (the author) could not resist, the only thing she could/had to do. Through publication, these once private writings are now among us, like windows, from which we might discover a common emotion and surge of life, connecting with each other, transc transcending the limits of individuals and time.
