Jockey Club "Little Citizens of the World" Education Program

Oxfam is an international poverty alleviation and development organization that promotes people's power to eradicate poverty. We have been committed to promoting global citizenship education, allowing the new generation to learn from action, encouraging them to care about the world, and even think about how to improve inequality.

Oxfam has fully launched the "Jockey Club "Little Citizens of the World" Education Program" and received donations from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. It has collaborated with a number of Hong Kong writers and painters to create a total of 6 "Little Citizens of the World" educational picture books. Parent-child workshops, table games, teacher workshops, etc. allow adults and children to open a window to the world together, explore poverty and inequality in various places, induce empathy, and cultivate care for the disadvantaged.

We use children’s favorite picture book words and pictures to show them stories from different corners of the earth. With parents’ accompanying reading, guidance, inheritance and joint learning, it is easier to touch their attention and empathy and inspire them to build respect. , cherish, justice, peace, love and other positive values. Let us work together to cultivate children to become responsible little citizens of the world and build a more equal "infinite world".
