Japan Tokyo Type Director Club

Tokyo TDC (Tokyo Type Director Club) was founded in 1987 by the famous designer and font research expert Katsumi Asaba. In 1990, the annual Tokyo Type Director Club Award was established. Currently, it is the center of font research and graphic design in the Asia-Pacific region. One of the most prestigious awards.

Tokyo TDC is committed to challenging the current definition of visual typography, deeply exploring graphic design related to fonts and fonts, promoting the application and innovation of fonts in different visual media, and emphasizing the personality, concept, creativity and art in the works as the selection principle , was well received by designers. "Tokyo Japan Type Guidance Club" is a design yearbook that collects each award-winning work. It presents the charm of fonts with different themes, concepts and bindings every year, and is loved by designers all over the world. 2021 is the 32nd session of the Tokyo TDC Awards. This year, 3,750 entries were finally collected, of which 1,803 were from overseas and 1,947 were from Japan.

In addition, in response to the global emphasis on and changes in visual communication, this edition broke through the inherent image of the yearbook by changing its size and appearance—466 pages in A5 size!
