Time difference

This is a story about a Hongkonger in Ireland, written by a Hongkonger.

"Time Lag" is the first book by Kwok Tsz Ki that is not a compilation of previous works, and its content is woven together by two threads. One thread explores Irish culture and history, starting from resistance against British colonialism, moving through the Celtic Revival movement, the Home Rule movement, the War of Independence, the Civil War and its aftermath, and touching upon the stances of writers from different eras. Over several centuries of striving for self-governance or independence, various methods, both literary and martial, firm and gentle, emerged. Most of them failed, but perhaps success and failure are not the only ways to view them.
