Spring is for birth and growth, autumn for harvest, and winter for storage. As the year draws to a close, Random Access is also about to harvest a fruit that has been growing for two years—our first (and possibly only) MOOK, "Ge." "Ge" is a unit of storage, which can be extended to mean a cabinet, a file, a list; it is both a container and a method—a method of classification and display, as well as a method of cognition and statistics. It points to topics that we have always been concerned with and curious about: the relationship between people and objects, which is both confined by and transcends commodity attributes and exchange value, and the personal, family, and social histories behind it.
