Through the story of a stray cat searching for food, the author guides children to think about the relationship between humans and animals. A nameless, homeless stray cat is hungry, so hungry every day. Every night, it has to work very hard to find food to fill its stomach. If it's lucky, it might encounter some kind people who give it delicious egg foo young, fragrant creamy bacon pasta, or mouth-watering chicken curry. Upon seeing this food, the stray cat always rushes over without hesitation, eating bite after bite until it's all gone; but it really doesn't taste much like cat food…

Searching house after house, the stray kitten finally found a family in a distant suburb who gave it cat food. "This is what cats should eat!" the kitten thought. Even more fortunately, this family adopted it. The family who adopted the kitten also enjoyed eating egg foo young, creamy bacon pasta, or chicken curry, but the kitten never ate these things again, not even once. It still preferred its cat food.

Every animal has its own food, humans included, and other animals too. In the story, although the stray cat always devours the "delicious human food," it's not because it likes it, but because it's simply too hungry. It eats for – survival.
Pet ownership has become a modern social phenomenon. Walking down the street, or in passing cars, one often sees pets with bows or jingling ornaments, and even dogs walking in shoes…

From the phenomenon of pet ownership and the way we treat them, perhaps we can consider:
Do dogs really like walking in shoes? Are their paws useless? Do humans have the right to deprive animals of certain instincts? Is dressing up animals to look as beautiful as humans a selfish act? Animals can be companions to humans, and humans can care for animals, but does this mean animals don't want to be themselves?
Perhaps there's nothing wrong with dressing up pets in ways that aren't their natural selves. The most important thing should be not to abandon them anywhere when we no longer want them or when they get sick and we don't want to care for them, leaving them to fend for themselves…
If humans cannot treat animals kindly, animals will not treat humans kindly. For example, stray dogs attacking people is a result caused by humans.
