This book tells you the history of the Governor's Residence in Macau. From the first governor was sent to Macau in 1623 until the handover in 1999, the governor has lived in different residences, including Fortress, Nanwan Governor's Residence (now the old court building), Governor's Mansion (now the Macau Government Headquarters), St. Shanze Mansion (now Government House) and Erlonghou Summer Palace. This book will explore the relationship between the owner and the residence, as well as the political history of Macau behind the official residence, by examining the migration process of the Governor's residence in Macau and the history of each residence.
