The narrative closely ties into current social and cultural conditions, such as: the father's journey from skepticism to persistence regarding eco-friendly farming methods; the mother, an immigrant spouse, fostering a spirit of mutual assistance among fellow immigrants and teaching her child tea-serving etiquette, demonstrating the integration and learning of diverse cultures.

　

At the end of the story, when customers come to buy organically grown tea, the father insists on keeping the aged tea personally roasted by the grandfather, also a tea master, which further highlights the enduring nature of family ties and the legacy of craftsmanship, much like the fragrance of tea. When savored, it leaves a lingering sense of respect, friendliness, and tradition between humans and nature, and among people.
