King's Sweets

This is a tender story about longing for someone important, a story that flows endlessly.

A picture book based on the Galette des Rois (King's Cake), a traditional French New Year's celebration dessert. The protagonist of the story is a tiny ceramic figurine called a "fève."

Millie is a small figurine made of ceramic.
She's only the size of a bean, known as a "fève."
"Alright, go. Who will you make happy?"
That's what Mr. Blanc, the pastry chef, said to Millie.
And so, Millie was baked inside a pastry crust filled with almond cream.
