"Let the intuitive eye speak" ── Husserl's 1907 "The Idea of Phenomenology"
Phenomenology is the main movement of western philosophy in the twentieth century, and its influence covers all fields of human activities. The author of this book, Husserl (1859-1938), is the pioneer of phenomenology.
Husserl taught at the University of Göttingen from 1901 to 1915, and these 15 years are generally referred to as the "Göttingen period" of phenomenology. This book is the Chinese translation annotation of the five intensive lectures given by Husserl at the University of Göttingen in 1907. It is generally called "Göttingen Lectures", "Five Lectures" or "Small Ideas" in academic circles. During this period, Husserl's main academic achievement was the establishment of "Transcendental Phenomenology", and this book is the representative work of his Transcendental Phenomenology. In the book, we can see the basic problems and solutions of Husserl's entire transcendental phenomenology. Simply put, its idea is to "let the intuitive eyes speak", and intuition is the beginning and end of phenomenology.
"Göttingen Lectures", currently included in the second volume of "The Complete Works of Husserl", is also the manuscript on which this translation is based. The whole book is in Chinese and German.
