When we were very young, we had the most unique perspective on the world.
At an imaginative age, every object around us felt alive.
This is a story about kindness, companionship, and love.
Perhaps the story will remind you of relatives or friends who accompanied you as you grew up. Even if they are no longer here, their love will forever remain in our hearts.
This story is an adaptation of "The Stone Toad of Casa Grande" by Macanese Portuguese writer Luís Gonzaga Gomes, originally published in the Portuguese newspaper "Notícias de Macau." It serves as a cautionary tale against harming others for momentary greed, warning that such actions will inevitably backfire.
May we all cherish and treat all beautiful things with kindness.
