I will faithfully play the role assigned to me by the trend of the times
That character who is always left behind, sad and humble
However, life is not a drama,
No one knows what the plot of the second act is...
"If you want to understand Osamu Dazai, this is the must-read Bible."──Wu Jilun, senior Japanese literature translator
Lighting a lamp in the void, Dazai Osamu's life whispers

This book collects works written by Dazai Osamu from 1935 to 1948 (26 to 39 years old). Through these twelve works with strong personal color, we can enter Dazai Osamu's inner world and experience the twelve scenes of Dazai's mixed emotions.
"Vulgarity" describes a group of young people with absurd dreams, pursuing the absurdity of spiritual vanity in a mediocre life, and showing the vulgarity of people's hearts.
"One Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji" is included in Japanese university textbooks. Japanese writer Taguchi Landi praised it as: "a painting composed of words."
"Eight Scenes of Tokyo" reveals Dazai's miserable youth.
"Return" and "Hometown" describe Dazai's journey back home after ten years of absence.
"Bo Ming", "Annals of Troubles", "Fifteen Years", and "Looking for People" describe the embarrassment of life affected by the war, but they also bear witness to the warmth and respect of the people.
"Beautiful Man and Cigarette" is Dazai's late masterpiece, reflecting Dazai's solo career along the way.
<Meishan> People and things that are irredeemable always make people sigh, which is Dazai's deepest regret.
"Goodbye" is Dazai's unfinished posthumous work and was adapted into a stage play by SIS Company in Japan.
