Schrödinger, the Nobel Prize winner in physics who is well-known for his "Schrödinger's Cat" thought experiment,
Not only the founder of quantum mechanics,
More inspiring biological discoveries about the structure of DNA,
Or a philosopher who studied the Upanishads, Schopenhauer and Spinoza,
He has unique insights into topics such as "self", "world" and "consciousness".

Translation and introduction by Huang Yulin, associate professor of the Department of Physics, Donghua University

Schrödinger was the greatest and most humble genius of the twentieth century. The manuscript "My Life" written in 1960 was the only time that Schrödinger, who never liked talking about himself, gave a detailed account of his life. Readers can learn about the kind of knowledge development that makes his interest not only limited to physics and mathematics, but also biology and philosophy.
"My World View" was published in 1961. It consists of two articles, written at the beginning of Schrödinger's academic career and after his retirement. Although there was a gap of 35 years in between, they summarized his philosophical views on the nature of the world. Schrödinger's worldview is derived from the Indian Vedanta philosophy. He believes that there is only one single consciousness and that we are all its different aspects, and then deduces an ethical stance of reverence for life.
Commentators pointed out that the source of Schrödinger's theoretical physics ideas may be his philosophical thinking.

What is that thing that suddenly calls you out of nothingness to enjoy this spectacular spectacle that ignores you? Perhaps a hundred years ago, another person sat in this very spot, looking up at the receding snow on the mountain with the same awe and longing as you. He feels pain and joy just like you do. Is he someone else? Aren't you yourself?

One of Schrödinger's best-known and most translated works.
——"Viener Journal"
