People used to disagree on whether Cammes lived in Macau, but later the academic circles generally believed that this issue was no longer important. The important thing is that Cammes' thoughts and voices were indeed related to Macau and reverberated in this land. On the occasion of the "World Organization of Poets" meeting in Macau, against this background, this book includes an article each by Fr. Among them, Father Wen Dequan's article was published by the Department of Education and Youth in 1980; Professor José Elmano Saraiva's article was published in "Cultural Magazine". These two articles have a common purpose, which is to prove that the great Portuguese poet Camíz lived in Macau and wrote some chapters of the immortal epic "Spirit of Portugal" by citing historical materials.
