Out of the Mist Forest

　　In this forest, the animals lived their lives at their usual pace.

　　One day, this harmonious scene underwent an eerie change—a thick fog, from an unknown origin, swept through the forest. This mist enveloped everything, dim and gloomy. The animals couldn't see each other, isolated and cut off. After some time, everyone grew increasingly anxious and eager to find a way out of the迷霧 (fog), to find the sun again, and restore their peaceful and safe lives…

　　This is a plain yet infinitely evocative animal fable that allows us to perceive the hardships and resilience of life during authoritarian times through poignant and profound text and images. It is also a deeply solitary portrait, depicting a group of predecessors who struggled to survive and faced the pain of their hearts.

　　Winner of the first prize in the second "Drawing Stories: The Tale of an Island" Human Rights Education Picture Book Selection Project, "Out of the Misty Forest" pays tribute to the victims who bravely sought a path to freedom with elegant images and text, and a story that intertwines reality and illusion.
