Age of Youth

This book "Blue Age" is a collection of twelve short stories, including Anzai Mizumaru's first foray into comics, which was published in the legendary alternative comics magazine "GARO" from 1974 to 1977. Therefore, it is not an exaggeration to say that this book is the origin of Anzai Suimaru's creation. The first edition of this book came out in 1980 and was out of print for many years. It has been a legendary and dreamy masterpiece that has been passed down by word of mouth in the comics and book fan circles and is extremely difficult to obtain. After Anzai Mizumaru passed away in 2014, many commemorative works were published one after another. After repeated calls, this book was finally released as a new "complete edition" in 2021, and added a foreword by his daughter Anzai Kaori and the former "Tayo" "Explanatory text by Kozaburo Arashiyama, editor-in-chief of the magazine, and an in-depth interview originally published in "GARO" magazine in 1994.
