Gasan Media is a Hong Kong online media founded on October 15, 2019. It has always adhered to Hong Kong's local focus and is committed to giving voice to the local community. In the two years since its establishment, it has won recognition from three Human Rights Journalism Awards.

Later, one of the founders, Fung Tat-jun, was arrested by the National Security Bureau, and the Department of Justice publicly accused Gasan Media of being an incitement platform, making it the first media in Hong Kong history to be publicly accused of being an incitement platform. Today, the members of Gasan Communication are all over the world. Another founder, Hu Jian, the author of this book, is in exile in Taiwan. He is determined to publish this book to let future generations see the important moments experienced before and after the National Security Law and clarify the context.

The title of the book "A Very Good Moment in Hong Kong" was inspired by Dr. Wu Naide's "Taiwan's Finest Moment". Dr. Wu wrote in the book: "If the Taiwanese nation survives destruction in the future, future generations of Taiwanese may remember that difficult period as well. Said, that was the best moment for Taiwanese people."

In the past few years, the people of Hong Kong have gone through a moment of overwhelming gravity and experienced common suffering. As a result, they have become a community of suffering and a community of nations, and together they have ushered in the dark cycle after the National Security Law.
