Still strolling around? Are you enjoying the slow pace of the island, or simply can’t find food because all restaurants are “closed for a few days”? Isn’t it surprising to find that so many businesses use such a vague expression? Let’s have a look at the other side of these “休息” (rest) signs and discuss what should be at the core of our economies.

One afternoon, I wanted to explore the island for something good to eat.
There were always more closed shops than open ones.
This shop was closed at noon, that one only opened at night, and this one was closed for a few days.
And really, how many days is "closed for a few days?"
