Blooming requires experiencing the cycle of the four seasons,
Life, originally, has a serene strength.
This beautiful poem by the important Latin American writer Antonio Skármeta, paired with exquisite watercolors, tells a magical story between a little girl and a blue flower. The girl, Daniella, looks out the window and sees a blue flower blooming on a plant in her yard. She watches it for a very long time, from day to night. Finally, the flower speaks to her, asking why she has been staring at it for so long. Daniella simply finds the flower interesting, like a horn, which is why she stared at it absentmindedly for so long. They begin to talk, discussing the cyclical nature of life. At night, Daniella goes out into the yard, lies on the large flower, and drifts off to sleep.
