Li Chin-Lun's Latest Illustrated Creation: For Everyone Who Loves Themselves
Love yourself, until the end of the world.
Let's start a journey with ourselves, right now.
◤For me, "With Myself" and "A Window Seat, Just the Right Light" are both about and a continuation of the same pursuit in life: I am always looking for myself. This self sometimes needs to be chased, sometimes she runs away, runs too far, becomes blurry, or comes to ask me questions, etc. I need to see her and talk to her.
I feel that we are all in various encounters in life, and these stories are like different chiropractors helping us adjust ourselves. We need to remember to focus on that comfortable self, not necessarily a perfect one.◢
◆This is a journey that records "being with myself." Following the author's light and tranquil descriptions, we also pack up and set off, as if we too have embarked on an encounter "with myself."
◆Traveling alone can sometimes be isolating. Because what is seen and thought can only churn within oneself. But through the author's eyes, and the direction of her heart, in the rhythm of her travels, the friends she meets, the scenery she sees, and her "conversations" with life and animals, we discover a love letter gradually accumulating details about knowing oneself, finding oneself, and loving oneself.
◆Regardless of the length of the journey, because we are "with myself," we realize that this is a dynamic feast of self-discovery. Interactions with others and questions asked of oneself are not at all isolating or narcissistic.
