"A Short History of Philosophy" is an introductory book on Marx's philosophy. In the 2,500-year history of the West, 40 themes have emerged. Each theme uses a story of about 3,000 words to introduce 52 formative figures from Socrates, the "questioner" to Peter Singer, the "modern gadfly". The main contribution of human thought, and thus triggered the development of Western philosophy and the main issues discussed, such as how we should live, whether God exists, how we understand the external world, what is justice, what is morality, etc. The book does not contain abstract philosophical concepts or difficult philosophical theories, but is full of interesting and even bizarre life stories. However, it does not lose the essence of philosophy, which is to guide us to think, think, calculate and question like this.
What is particularly worth mentioning is that in the last paragraph of each chapter, another theoretical thought is introduced that has a different point of view from the thought introduced in that chapter, or the author further develops the thought of the doctrine and strings together their philosophical thoughts one by one. In this way, readers can clearly understand the changes and inheritance of philosophical themes and ways of thinking, and seem to see the development of human thought and the absolute spiritual self.
Every reader who reads a book will find this: the meaning of philosophy is to make you better and help you find happiness in life.
