Xiao Lu and his friends, who were born in a birdcage

Xiao Lu is a bird who, by accident, discovers she might be able to fly.

Hai Hai is practicing riding his bicycle when, in a strong wind, a bird falls on his head!

 

Xiao Lu lived a safe and secure life with her companions in a cage since birth, believing that flying was a sickness. One day, she encountered the world outside the cage. Instinct drove her to spread her wings, yearning for the freedom of flight, and she no longer wanted to return to the cage.

 

The pursuit of freedom was accompanied by danger and doubt, but Xiao Lu and Hai Hai's individual efforts inspired each other.

Then, a wonderful day arrived; they succeeded, and relying on themselves, they both reached places they had never been before.

 

 

The story's inspiration comes from a quote by Chilean director Alejandro Jodorowsky: "Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness."
