Urban village

Urban villages are a unique urban landscape in China, particularly in Shenzhen, the city where the photographer grew up. When the photographer returned home after graduation, she found that the changes in her surroundings had far exceeded her imagination. She then chose to use her most familiar medium—photography—to document her hometown.

The cover font uses an unconventional design that highlights the geographical characteristics of urban villages, with the "village" surrounded by the "city."
