The story of "Guardian" is built on an alternate history. Because of the emergence of a group of masked heroes, American history was changed. Many major historical events that occurred in reality have changed due to the existence of this group of heroes: such as the assassination of US President Kennedy and the victory in the Vietnam War. Due to the intervention of the godlike Dr. Manhattan in the Vietnam War, the United States won an overwhelming victory, and Nixon was re-elected as the President of the United States.
