Illusion Play: Works by Guo Zikai

"Fantasia - A Collection of Works by Guo Zikai" compiles over a hundred pieces created by Guo Zikai in recent years. The artist's style is highly distinctive, characterized by its eerie beauty, and has gradually evolved into a powerfully individualistic aesthetic watercolor style, blending traditional Chinese painting elements with ukiyo-e. He previously created movie posters for "Big Fish & Begonia" and "Legend of the Demon Cat," garnering significant attention from both the public and industry professionals.
 
The chapter titles of the art book are selected from Yuan Dynasty qupai (aria titles), echoing the art book's title "Fantasia." The art book is divided into four chapters: "Dong Xian Ge" (reinterpretation of classical Chinese tales of the strange), "Mi Shen Yin" (mythological fantasies from other cultural backgrounds), "Shui Xian Zi" (illustrated books and serial illustrations of classical strange literature), and "Yu Ren Ge" (dolls and ceramics).
