Active in the magazine and advertising industry, Japanese photographer Tomoki Kuwashima completed this intimate video diary "I, Me" under the continuous shooting of his wife, actor Yumi Adachi, and also opened up a new vision of "family photography".
At first, Kuwashima Tomoki and Adachi Yumi met in 2011 because of the shooting work of the photo album. Two and a half years later, Shueisha finally published the book "Private Life", and the two entered into marriage in 2014. So far, Tomoki Kuwashima still records his wife every day with a negative camera, develops the images into 3.5" x 5" photos, and saves them in the photo album; from the time they met each other for about eight years in 2019, these daily and routine tasks Such images have gathered more than a hundred albums and accumulated more than 30,000 photos.
In such a large number of memories, "I, Me" has absorbed the clips from the anniversary of the two people's wedding to the three years since the birth of the child, and it took another year and a half to condense 70 records into 135 photos; These images make readers forget the roles of the two in front of the public, and the emotional outline of the couple becomes transparent, sincere and moving.
Born in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture in 1978, photographer Tomoki Kuwashima graduated from Musashino Art University and studied under Kentaro Kamada. Since becoming independent in 2004, he has been active in the fields of magazines, artist photobooks, and advertisements. In 2013, he published the photobook "Private Life" of Anda Yumi, which has been recorded for about two and a half years; since his marriage in 2014, the photographer still takes pictures of Anda Yumi every day, and publishes photos of his wife from time to time on his personal platform, which has become a hot topic on the Internet .
