　　Let's take a look at the true story of how the author of this book, the "Hand-Drawn Map Promotion Committee," organized a hand-drawn map workshop in the "BiVi Tsukuba" department store in Tsukuba City, Japan. Tsukuba is located on the outskirts of Tokyo. Due to the rapid development of railways in recent years, it has become a city of choice for commuters to Tokyo, with an increasing number of young families moving in. What are people's experiences of living in Tsukuba? In the bustling shopping mall, the committee randomly invited members of the public to provide "local insider information" and draw maps. In just three days, sixty-four hand-drawn maps were collected. These maps contained both life topics from different groups of people and long-standing classic rumors. For example: baked sweet potatoes so delicious they rival desserts, known only to locals; the mysterious red-faced duck in the park; practical parenting tips for new families, such as information about clinics open late and highly recommended excellent places for weekend outings with children; and even secret guides for the "BiVi Tsukuba" department store provided by shopping experts.
