A Fighter Who Writes Life Through Poetry
The author is a rural woman with cerebral palsy; writing was an impossible dream for her. Yet, she used all her strength to press her right wrist with her left hand, painstakingly writing each twisted character. She chose poems with the fewest words to convey to readers her journey of struggling against fate.
Everyone who writes poetry with their soul and life is a warrior.
They gain little and sacrifice much. They must fight against worldliness, against trends, against life, against money and power, against vanity and degradation, and even against relatives and friends.
She took up poetry as a weapon, not for revenge, not for self-destruction or abandonment, but to express contempt for the injustice that fate and life dealt her. Through poetry, she conveys to readers her genuine authenticity and her belief in life.
And what is poetry? I don't know and cannot articulate it; it is merely emotions leaping or sinking.
It is simply how it arrives in the posture of an innocent child when the soul cries out, or how it serves as a crutch when a person stumbles through this shaky world.
