A cloud that reflects the mood,
representing your sometimes fluctuating emotions in life.

On some strange days, nothing seems to go right, and you can't explain why. That's when you need to stop and wait. Wait for the dark cloud hanging over your heart to slowly dissipate...

This is a story about finding peace and new hope for life after patiently coexisting with uninvited melancholy.

One day, the protagonist wakes up feeling despondent, finding a dense cloud floating above her head, reflecting her inner state. This dark cloud obscures her vision and even her ability to appreciate beautiful things, making everything appear sorrowful.

Sometimes the dark cloud rains, and a drop or two inevitably slides down her cheek. Other times, it thunders and lightens at night, keeping her awake.

Waking up the next morning, the dark cloud seems to have dispersed naturally after these necessary processes. Her mood returns to brightness and tranquility. Fresh, fragrant flowers bloom in her house, symbolizing her new understanding of life and exuding a new scent.

Through the author's delicate emotions and poetic brushstrokes, and the illustrator's gentle, sepia-toned artwork, this book describes those moments in life when a dark cloud looms, and motivation wanes. It's about finding the ability to appreciate beauty again after waiting and processing with time.

Melancholy may arrive uninvited one day, stemming from sad past memories, frustrating experiences, or reasons you can't quite articulate at the moment. The protagonist has to stop what she's doing and calmly face her sadness, accompanied quietly by her three cats, who also wait patiently. During this emotional process, feelings of sadness and even agony may surface from time to time, but after a heavy rain, the sky will eventually clear, and dark clouds will one day drift away. The heart, having experienced this process, will become more at peace, fostering unexpected new hope.

Do the flowers blooming at the end of the book signify that the protagonist originally had seeds of sorrow buried deep in her heart, which, after being washed by the tears of melancholy, transformed and sprouted? The imagery is thought-provoking. Instead of rushing to suppress low emotions, it is better to quietly process, release, and confront them, allowing inner space for natural renewal. By pausing to rethink, and when the time is right, entanglements may unravel, allowing flowers to bloom.
