The original work of "Du Liankui" is "The Picture of Gray" by Irish writer Oscar Wilde. Wang Dahong spent ten years of hard work in translating and rewriting it, and it was published in 1977. It transformed Wilde's London scene at the end of the 19th century into Taipei in the 1970s, profoundly demonstrating Wang Dahong's understanding of the current situation.
