Less than useless

Having written 600 poems and 300 sets of lyrics, Xia Yu says poetry seems more violent, wild, and solitary, while songs are more kitsch and camp. Who knows, perhaps poetry is even more kitsch and camp than songs; in this era, all definitions have been turned on their heads several times over.
She says she cares less and less about the distinction between poetry and song.
