Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Kieślowski's Passing Through Writing
In 2004, Lo Chin-fung completed his first work of film music criticism and made a promise: "Next stop, Poland."
Because of a revered director, in 2007, Lo Chin-fung, with the director's English biography in hand, traveled alone to three Polish cities: Warsaw, Łódź, and Krakow. His goal was to personally stand in the director's birthplace, childhood home, filming locations, and even his cemetery, to say to him, "Mr. Kieślowski, thank you."
Because of this director, Lo Chin-fung's writing life was forever changed.
In 2016, this small book was compiled, writing about the director and his locations, about the director and his works, and about some insights gained in life. On the 20th anniversary of the director's passing, a heartfelt wish is fulfilled.
