It mainly explores the new ideas, connotations and new interpretations that may be triggered by the new wave of "cross-disciplinary exhibitions" in contemporary art in the past twenty years that return to the "body". "Body" is often the basis for art genres since the 20th century to return to "behavior" and "performance" when they have developed to a certain level (such as Dada and Fluxus). In the past two decades, cross-disciplinary performances have become popular in large institutions such as art museums and art centers under globalization, which have made dance, music and drama interpenetrate on a complex level, especially dance that uses the "body" as the medium of expression. It also shows a special connection, making "body" show multiple meanings in different contexts of art museums and contemporary dance. Although modern theory and artistic practice always project the imagination of "resistance" on the "body", what else can the "performing body" be besides being an imaginary projection of "resistance to institutions and systems"? The performance of the body in "contemporary times" "What significance can it develop? What new interpretations and interpretations can the wave of cross-domain performances since the millennium provide for contemporary culture? And why cross-domain? What is the significance of contemporary cross-domain performances for dance/music/drama? -- Through such cross-domain and interpenetration, what changes have occurred in contemporary culture and art? "Contemporary Performance", as the first episode of this reading series, will get to the bottom of it and discuss what exactly calls for contemporary cross-domain performance? Why has contemporary art produced a new wave of contemporary performances? What new perspectives has this wave of cross-disciplinary contemporary performances brought to contemporary art?
