Shōzō Ōmori, philosopher. Born in Okayama Prefecture, Japan, in 1921. Graduated from the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, University of Tokyo in 1944, and from the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Letters, University of Tokyo in 1949. He served as a professor at the University of Tokyo and the Open University of Japan. His works include *Language, Perception, World*, *Matter and Mind*, *Flow and Stasis*, *New Perspectives, New Theories*, *The Construction and Constraints of Knowledge*, and *Time and Self*. He passed away in 1997.

Ryuichi Sakamoto, one of Japan's most internationally influential contemporary musicians. Born in Tokyo in 1952. Studied piano and composition in his youth, later earning a master's degree from Tokyo University of the Arts. He has released approximately 80 solo music albums, scored over 40 films, and collaborated on more than 30 other albums. He has won awards such as the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score, and Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. He was the preferred musician for Nagisa Ōshima, Bernardo Bertolucci, and Pedro Almodóvar, and a close collaborator with pop musicians such as Madonna and David Bowie. He passed away on March 28, 2023.

Xu Jianming: Japanese translator/cultural observer, graduated from the Zendong Japanese Studies College of Shanghai International Studies University. He has served as deputy editor-in-chief of the Japanese magazine *SHANGHAI WALKER*, senior editor at Modern Weekly, and other positions. His translations include: *All About Yohji Yamamoto*, *The Story of Cuisine*, *Women in Ukiyo-e*, *Nagaoka Kenmei's Thoughts*, *SKMT: Who is Ryuichi Sakamoto?*, and others.
