Museums, as cultural infrastructure promoting equality and inclusion, hold an intrinsic value as a fascinating world with much to explore in depth.

The book is divided into two main parts. The first part focuses on "Museum Architecture, Spatial Representation, and Cultural Governance," while the second part centers on "Curatorial Space and Audience Experience." The cases selected and discussed in the book connect to these two major research axes—museum architecture, museum exhibitions, and audience experience—through several important developmental issues and trends in museum venues over the past decade. By exploring from theoretical concepts, we hope to gain a deeper understanding of museum research-related topics. By starting from phenomena, we intend to find more perspectives for museum development and exploration with local Taiwanese characteristics at the level of research methodology, and we hope to spark more dialogue and collectively contribute to the vibrant and captivating landscape of museums.

Museums are places for the production and transmission of knowledge. Museum architecture and spatial venues collectively undertake these tasks. The visually dominant experiential process of "exhibition" is habitually perceived and expected to be at the core of knowledge flow, and it is through this that new discursive fields of curatorial politics and its practical critique emerge. The production of museum architectural space is rooted in the interwoven aspects of society, culture, history, politics, and economics, and as such, changes in museums will naturally be brought about by the production of architecture and space.

This book uses the reconstruction process of knowledge and exhibition as its locus of thought. Museum architecture and spatial production serve as the entry point for knowledge, with observations on audience experience and curatorial discourse, culminating in a phased record and reflection.
