Returning to the origin Yoshitomo Nara In 2012, Yoshitomo Nara returned to the Yokohama Museum of Art and held a solo exhibition "Yoshitomo Nara: A Little Like You, A Little Like Me" (later touring Aomori, Kumamoto and other places). I DON'T MIND IF YOU FORGET ME" solo exhibition (Yoshitomo Nara's first solo exhibition in Japan and the beginning of his fame), "Yoshitomo Nara: A bit like you, a bit like me" solo exhibition through the lens of photographer Rinko Kawauchi, The photography and conversations of photographer Nobuyoshi Araki present the changes in Yoshitomo Nara's creative style and concept over the past 11 years. His works are all self-portraits, which have nothing to do with children. This is a misunderstanding of everyone; Nara created it alone at the beginning, and after 2001 he collaborated with the team, and now he returns to himself again; The detailed writing has turned into a macroscopic painting method (partly because of presbyopia XD), he also realized that he is a social person, and began to move from an individual to a society. The international contemporary artist Takashi Murakami, who became acquainted with Yoshitomo Nara because of his travels 11 years ago, also traveled with Yoshitomo Nara again to have a hot spring talk about creation.
This book also includes back and forth letters between Yayoi Kusama, who is still writing in her eighties, and Yoshitomo Nara, who encouraged each other on the road of creation.
