"The Black Cat Turning Over" is the first collection of short manga by renowned cartoonist Fumiko Takano, originally titled "Absolute Safety Razor." It won the 11th Japan Cartoonists Association Award and features seventeen manga works, with a special message included for Chinese readers.

The book features teenagers in the throes of adolescence, mischievous siblings, and ukiyo-e-style works filled with whimsical ideas. In "1+1+1=0," a little girl grappling with whether she loves her dad or mom more vividly and realistically portrays a child's imaginative world; in "Tsuru from the Tanabe Family," a grandmother with Alzheimer's disease behaves like a naive child, yet her actions conceal genuine affection for her family...

Fumiko Takano is hailed as "a cartoonist among cartoonists, a master among masters." She uses a literary touch to create a marvelous world interwoven with reality and dreams, earning high praise from renowned cartoonists Katsuhiro Otomo, Daisuke Igarashi, and Taiyo Matsumoto, as well as acclaimed director Hirokazu Kore-eda.
