This book collects twenty-five articles, representing the culmination of the author's decades of research into Xi Xi's writing. It is divided into four sections: "Overview," "Specific Studies," "Responses," and "Tributes." The "Overview" section provides a comprehensive discussion of Xi Xi's life, works, artistic style, and humanistic spirit. "Specific Studies" reviews individual works or collections by Xi Xi. "Responses" focuses on discussions of the documentaries "My City" and "Migratory Birds - A Writer of My City," as well as the book series "Xi Xi on Film" edited by Zhao Xiaotong. "Tributes" comprises memorial essays, reflecting on Xi Xi's brilliant, joyful, and meaningful life with deep affection. The "Appendix" at the end of the book consists of interviews and a chronology. Among these, the "Chronology of Xi Xi" is currently the most complete and accurate resource, listing all major and minor events in Xi Xi's life, including publications, awards, and travels.
