Paul Rand (Paul Rand, 1914-1996), an outstanding graphic designer, thinker and educator in the 20th century. His work includes art direction for magazines and advertising agencies, packaging design, book illustration, typography, and drawing and art education. The logos he designed for companies are well-known and classic, such as ABC, IBM, UPS, Westinghouse, Yale, and the NEXT computer company founded by Jobs.
He has taught at Yale University for more than 30 years, mainly teaching graphic design, and is an "honorary professor" of Yale University. He has won many awards from the American Graphic Design Association, the New York Artists Association, and the Royal Society of British Designers, and was nominated by the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) as one of the ten outstanding art directors of all time.
