Scholarly Papers from the Symposium on Epigraphy, Painting, and Calligraphy by Leftover Subjects of the Late Ming and Early Qing Dynasties

The Macao Museum of Art once hosted “Poetic Devotion: The Art of the Ming and Qing Loyalists from the Shanghai Museum Collection,” showcasing the emotional turmoil and cultural spirit of the loyalists during that period. To coincide with the exhibition's opening, the "Poetic Devotion: Academic Symposium on the Calligraphy, Painting, and Epigraphy of Ming and Qing Loyalists" was held in September 2009. To reflect the academic achievements at the time and provide theoretical resources for future related research, this collection includes thirty papers, published in their original Chinese, with Portuguese and English abstracts for readers' reference.
