"That City" series of cartoons are political cartoons published by Hong Kong cartoonist Justin Wong in the "Sunday Life" column of the supplement of "Ming Pao" from 2020 to 2021. This series was originally called "This City". Huang Zhaoda used his paintings to satirize various current events in Hong Kong. Later, due to the implementation of the "National Security Law" on July 1, 2020, comic images are more likely to cause trouble than words, so the column was renamed "That City ". In 2021, Huang Zhaoda left Hong Kong urgently and moved to London due to being reported. This series of comics unexpectedly became his farewell work in the land of Hong Kong.

The book "That City THAT CITY" contains 52 cartoons during the serialization period. The themes revolve around the political situation, civic awareness, social atmosphere in Hong Kong in recent years, as well as the daily life affected by the "National Security Law" and the Covid-19 epidemic. In the book, there are condolences for the passing of Hong Kong in my heart, accusations against ubiquitous surveillance, warnings against numbness and indifference, and warmth for Hong Kong people.

Huang Zhaoda's cartoon style is deeply influenced by American cartoonist Chris. Influenced by Chris Ware, he is good at using graphic design and geometric arrangement to conceive comic layouts. Although it is talking about political issues, it is not sharply critical. Instead, it uses abstract and simple image meaning, playful and experimental picture composition, and poetic, philosophical and humorous text, trying to use more space for readers to think. You can feel Hong Kong people's secret refusal to admit defeat, hidden struggles and silent protests. It is very emotional to read.
