Amidst the tide of emigration and three years of the pandemic, written records could not keep up with the rate at which artisans disappeared. "HK FEATURE" spent two years thoroughly documenting "Hong Kong Artisans," recording the silent disappearance of master craftsmen and factories during these three years, the descendants who updated their skills with the times, and the forgotten old-school artisans striving to survive in the city... They face forced relocation, lack of successors, and insufficient support, whether it's Lam Mei-ching of Hip Yee Hing Embroidery, calligrapher Lee Kin-ming, bamboo steamer craftsman Lui Ming, or even film props makers and stunt performers. Each artisan holds fast to their post, struggling amidst the times. These artisans embody Hong Kong's wisdom and resilience in self-improvement, striving, and adaptability.

The book documents 25 Hong Kong artisans, divided into five sections: "Hong Kong Sacrifices," "Hong Kong Start-ups," "Hong Kong Flavors," "Hong Kong Repairs," and "Hong Kong Cinema." Over two hundred pages of exquisite illustrations, photography, and interviews record the glory of an era. Hong Kong artisans are the embodiment of our Hong Kong spirit.
