99 Photographs

Since 1971, the Fotostiftung Schweiz (Swiss Photography Foundation) has been continuously collecting photographic archives and outstanding works from the history of photography. Now, for its 50th anniversary, a selection of this collection is showcased – inviting readers to explore the rich language of photography and see the world from different perspectives.

Renowned classic images are juxtaposed with little-known treasures, and the works of pioneering color photographers stand alongside those of internet photographers. Brief accompanying texts reveal the truth hidden behind the facts and beneath the surface. Editor Peter Pfrunder stops time 99 times, gazing both inward and outward – until the invisible becomes visible, and images become a wondrous blend of fact and fantasy.
