First storyboard of the film Akira (アキラ) directed by Katsuhiro Otomo and based on the manga of the same title written and illustrated by this author. This book includes sketches of the film with comments by Otomo. T throughout time, Akira has become a cult title and it is considered the masterpiece by Katsuhiro Otomo and one of the most important works of comics in general and manga in particular.

Akira's plot takes us to a post-apocalyptic future when Tokyo has been destroyed by a mysterious explosion. A new city has been rebuilt and has been called Neo-Tokyo, but it is ruled by the Yakuza. While exploring the ruins of the old city , Tetsuo and Kaneda, who are the main characters of this story, encounter a child that might have some kind of relationship with the explosion that destroyed Tokyo in the past.
